The War On Want

Although I’m totally aware of food banks, I’m embarrassed that we need them.
I am about to embark on a journey of discovery into the budgets and the food available within the governments standards of living.

This will include price comparisons and recipes, both now and in the ration nation that we may have to become again!

  1. It’s not only the budgets for food that have to be taken into consideration, it seems these days many people either don’t know how to make appetising food from scratch (since it stopped being taught as a matter of course in schools, maybe?), or don’t have the facilities to prepare it (I’ve seen numerous stories of rice, etc. being given back at foodbanks because the intended recipient didn’t have any means of cooking it).
